Beer Cheese Grits Recipe by Howard’s Creek Authentic Beer Cheese

Dutch oven

2 quart casserole dish or a 13 x 9 inch glass or baking dish
Mixing bowl
Cooking spray or butter

Ingredients

4 – Cups of boiling water
1 – Teaspoon Himalayan salt (or to taste)
1 – Cup Weisenberger Stone Ground Grits
1 – Stick real butter
8 oz. Howard’s Creek Authentic Beer Cheese
¾ – Cup heavy whipping cream
3 – Jumbo eggs or 4 regular eggs
Bourbon smoked garlic salt – (Optional)

Directions

Bring water to a boil with Himalayan salt. Add grits slowly stirring until blended. Reduce heat to low, stirring occasionally to prevent lumps and sticking. Cook for 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter, Howard’s Creek Authentic Beer Cheese until mixed thoroughly. Taste and adjust with more Himalayan salt if necessary.

Beat cream to medium stiff peaks add eggs one at a time beating gently each time and add this mixture to the grits. Stir mixture together and pour into a greased 2 quart casserole or a 13 x 9 inch pan.

Bake at 325 degree oven for 45 minutes and then turn up to 350 degrees for an additional 45 minutes. They are done when a knife inserted comes out clean. Turn oven off and leave in the oven up to 45 minutes if needed to firm up.
